Of the 100 Schol­ar­ships award­ed for CAPE 2023, Hillview Col­lege Tu­na­puna walked away with 13, sev­en of which were Open, while six were Ad­di­tion­al schol­ar­ships earned by stu­dents who stud­ied sub­jects rang­ing from ICT, Nat­ur­al Sci­ence, Math­e­mat­ics, to Busi­ness, Cre­ative & Per­for­mance Stud­ies, and En­vi­ron­men­tal Stud­ies.

St Au­gus­tine Girls’ High School snagged 10 schol­ar­ships of which four were Open and six were Ad­di­tion­al, with stud­ies in Math­e­mat­ics, Nat­ur­al Sci­ence, En­vi­ron­men­tal Stud­ies, ICT, Busi­ness, and Lan­guage Stud­ies.

The Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion (MoE) re­leased the news to­day, not­ing that two Pres­i­dent’s Medals will al­so be award­ed.

“The award of schol­ar­ships [is] based on the re­sults of the Caribbean Ad­vanced Pro­fi­cien­cy Ex­am­i­na­tions (CAPE) 2023. The schol­ar­ships in the 10 cog­nate groups are award­ed sole­ly based on aca­d­e­m­ic per­for­mance,” the Ed­u­ca­tion Min­istry said in its state­ment.

The Min­istry con­firmed that a to­tal of 100 schol­ar­ships were award­ed by Gov­ern­ment for aca­d­e­m­ic year 2022/2023.

“Of the 100 schol­ar­ships, 60% were award­ed to fe­male stu­dents, while 40% were award­ed to male stu­dents,” the Min­istry re­port­ed in its re­lease.

It added that of the 100 schol­ar­ships award­ed, 45 were Open and 55 were Ad­di­tion­al.

The schol­ar­ships are award­ed as fol­lows:
