Minister of Land and Legal Affairs Saddam Hosein and Foreign Affairs Minister Sean Sobers met with Bahrain’s Minister of Legal Affairs, Yousef bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, in Manama yesterday.
According to a release from the Ministry of Land and Legal Affairs (MLLA), the meeting at Al-Qudaibiya Palace was “part of a collaborative programme by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago to deepen bilateral ties, foster mutual understanding, and promote cooperation in institutional development and service delivery.”
During the discussions, the ministers reaffirmed their commitment to advancing dialogue on shared interests and exploring technical collaboration between their ministries for national benefit.
Topics included modernising current systems, strengthening governance, and advancing sustainable national development initiatives.
Both parties emphasised the benefits of continued partnership and agreed to maintain open communication to facilitate future joint projects.
“Minister Hosein expressed appreciation for the warm welcome received and emphasised the importance of deepening engagement to address emerging challenges within the legal and land-related sectors,” the release stated.
“His Excellency Khalaf highlighted the longstanding friendship between the two nations and welcomed the prospect of further collaboration.”
The meeting concluded with an agreement to pursue follow-up discussions through the respective technical teams.
This engagement forms part of the government’s Strategic Investment Mission to the UAE and Bahrain, aligned with its broader revitalisation blueprint.
