Hunters to search Aripo forest for missing dad

Mem­bers of the Hard Grounds Hunters Search and Res­cue team are ex­pect­ed to comb the heav­i­ly forest­ed area of the Heights of Aripo to­day, in search of miss­ing fa­ther of two David Neer­an­jan, 45, of St He­le­na, Pi­ar­co.

Head of the search and res­cue team, Ren Gopiesingh yes­ter­day con­firmed this lat­est de­vel­op­ment in the miss­ing per­son case to the Guardian Me­dia.

He said the search is ex­pect­ed to com­mence around 9 am in the area where Neer­an­jan’s ve­hi­cle, a grey Toy­ota Corol­la, was found burnt on Sat­ur­day night.

Neer­an­jan was last seen by his fam­i­ly at their San­ta Mon­i­ca Trace, St He­le­na, Pi­ar­co home around mid­day on Sat­ur­day.

It was re­port­ed that Neer­an­jan re­ceived a tele­phone call be­fore leav­ing his home to go to the mar­ket to drop off items to a cus­tomer.

Neer­an­jan op­er­at­ed an on­line store, where cus­tomers would con­tact him for items he ad­ver­tised on so­cial me­dia. He al­so de­liv­ered the items to the homes of his cus­tomers.

His dis­ap­pear­ance was re­port­ed to the po­lice, who are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the case.
