An accident along the Claude Noel Highway in Tobago has claimed the lives of two people.
The victims were identified as fire officer Christian Adams and his wife Theresa Alleyne, from Mt St George. The victims were parents of one child.
A truck and two cars were involved in the accident, with the truck, after the initial collision, falling on and crushing one of the cars.

Reports indicate that a dump truck carrying a load of sand struck both cars and overturned near the Botanical Gardens, Rockley Vale.
The vehicle in which the couple were travelling was pinned under the truck.
An excavator was called to help remove the truck but during the process, the truck broke loose and tumbled down a precipice.
The jaws of life had to be used to remove the couple from the vehicle.
