Bandits escaped with more than $200,000 from a robbery at a Princes Town insurance firm on Tuesday.
At around 1.15 pm, a 33-year-old employee of Classic General Insurance Agency was at her workplace when the two suspects, whose faces were covered with bandannas, walked in. They struck her on her head, causing her to fall to the ground, then ransacked the office and stole $210,933, the proceeds of sales for two weeks. The suspects then ran off.
Ag Cpl Clarence, PC Rampersad and officers from the Princes Town CID are continuing investigations.
