In­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing af­ter an in­ci­dent at a sec­ondary school in Cu­mu­to, in which two stu­dents were found hav­ing sex in the toi­let on Wednes­day.

The in­ci­dent led to a deep­er probe, af­ter it was learned the 14-year-old girl was al­so al­leged­ly hav­ing sex­u­al re­la­tions with a male rel­a­tive at home.

A teacher was in­formed around 2 pm on No­vem­ber 12, that the girl was seen hav­ing sex­u­al in­ter­course with a 13-year-old boy in the school’s wash­room.

Up­on check­ing, the teacher found the two and sep­a­rat­ed them, be­fore tak­ing them to the prin­ci­pal’s of­fice where the po­lice as well as the par­ents for both stu­dents, were con­tact­ed.

It was re­port­ed that dur­ing ques­tion­ing, the girl ad­mit­ted to en­gag­ing in sex­u­al re­la­tions with a close male rel­a­tive since Oc­to­ber at her 41-year-old moth­er’s house, where she al­so re­sides.

The girl was lat­er tak­en to the Cu­mu­to Health Cen­tre where she was med­ical­ly ex­am­ined and a re­port ob­tained for the pur­pose of fur­ther­ing the in­ves­ti­ga­tion. —ALP
