A 23-year-old man from Kel­ly Vil­lage has been charged with mur­der and firearm-re­lat­ed of­fences in con­nec­tion with the killing of 35-year-old Scott Ram­bar­ran.

Ram­bar­ran was re­port­ed miss­ing on Ju­ly 8. His body was found two days lat­er along Mau­si­ca Road South.

Fol­low­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions led by PC Be­nal­do of the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions, Re­gion II, the sus­pect was ar­rest­ed on Ju­ly 22. He lives at Ra­moutar Dri­ve in Kel­ly Vil­lage.

Af­ter a con­sul­ta­tion with Di­rec­tor of Pub­lic Pros­e­cu­tions Roger Gas­pard, SC, the ac­cused was charged with mur­der, pos­ses­sion of a firearm, and pos­ses­sion of am­mu­ni­tion.

He is ex­pect­ed to ap­pear be­fore a Mas­ter of the High Court this week.
