Britain's new king, Charles III has re­turned to Buck­ing­ham Palace in Lon­don Fri­day af­ter spend­ing the night at Bal­moral in Scot­land af­ter the death of his moth­er Queen Eliz­a­beth II, where a crowd of peo­ple were wait­ing to greet him.

The king walked the line greet­ing peo­ple and thank­ing them for their kind words and prayers over the death of his moth­er.

Among the peo­ple in the line was a woman with a T&T flag. The king touched the flag and then spoke briefly with the woman be­fore mov­ing on (video be­low 2.14 mark­er).

Prince Charles vis­it­ed Trinidad and To­ba­go twice in Feb­ru­ary 2000 and March 2008.

On his lat­ter vis­it, he went to the Asa Wright Cen­tre and al­so met with young en­tre­pre­neurs out­side of oth­er of­fi­cial busi­ness.

Queen Eliz­a­beth II al­so vis­it­ed T&T, com­ing here in 1966, 1985 and 2009. Oth­er mem­bers of the Roy­al Fam­i­ly who have vis­it­ed T&T in­clud­ed Prince Philip, Princess Mar­garet and Prince Ed­ward.
