A Longdenville man remained hospitalised in a stable condition yesterday, after he was stabbed in the neck by a close female relative during a heated argument on Monday night.
Police said the 27-year-old labourer, of Palmiste, Longdenville, got into an argument with the woman around 10 pm.
Police were told that as the argumentescalated, the woman picked up a sharp object and stabbed the man once in the left side of his neck.
The victim reportedly ran out of the house, got into his car and drove to the Chaguanas Health Facility, where he was attended to before being transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Centre in Mt Hope.
The man was treated for a laceration to the neck and bleeding in his lungs. He remains in the hospital in stable condition.
