Local artiste Ghetto Flex has died

There is word to­day that lo­cal en­ter­tain­er Ghet­to Flex has died.

Re­ports reach­ing Guardian Me­dia sug­gest that Flex, re­al name Hilton Dalza­ll Jr, passed away some­time this morn­ing, how­ev­er, a cause has not yet been re­vealed.

As news of Dalzell's pass­ing made the rounds on so­cial me­dia, sev­er­al peo­ple of­fered con­do­lences, in­clud­ing fel­low artistes.

Fay Ann Lyons Al­varez was among those to pay trib­ute.

On her In­sta­gram page, she post­ed an im­age of Ghet­to Flex with the words, "An­oth­er RIP to an artiste that gave sig­nif­i­cant­ly to the in­dus­try. We have lost an­oth­er. Rest in peace Ghet­to Flex. Those who were able to have seen and ex­pe­ri­enced your en­er­gy! Your mu­sic lives"

Dalzell was born on Sep­tem­ber 14, 1972, and start­ed his jour­ney at the ten­der age of five guid­ed by his fa­ther Hilton Se­nior, an ex­pe­ri­enced singer-song­writer.

By the age of eight, he was award­ed the crown of Ju­nior Ca­lyp­so Monarch.
