A Mal­ick man was gunned down yes­ter­day af­ter­noon.

Mark Gilbert, 33, of Eighth Street, was shot short­ly be­fore 3 pm at Val­ley Dri­ve, Up­per Sev­enth Av­enue, Mal­ick.

Res­i­dents re­port­ed hear­ing gun­shots around 2.40 pm and alert­ed the po­lice.

Of­fi­cers from the NED Task Force ar­rived to find the vic­tim ly­ing on the road bleed­ing from mul­ti­ple gun­shot wounds.

Of­fi­cers took Gilbert to the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex, Mt Hope, where he was pro­nounced dead on ar­rival.

The de­ceased sus­tained in­juries to the right and left arms, chest, back and neck.
