A Maloney man has appeared before a Master of the High Court, charged with the murder of Michael Augustine, which occurred in May last year.
Nebmarie Lee, 24, of Maloney, also was charged with possession of firearm and possession of ammunition, when he appeared before Master Delicia Bethelmy, on Monday 3 June 2025.
The Sufficiency Hearing date has been set for November 28, 2025.
Michael Augustine, 35, of Tacarigua, was shot and killed on Wednesday 15 May 2024, in the D’Abadie district.
One male suspect was arrested in connection with the matter on Tuesday 27 May 2025.
The suspect was held along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway, Arima, by officers of the Northern Division Task Force.
Lee was charged with the offences by Cpl Bushell also of the HBI Region Two, on Monday 3 June 2025, following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC, on that same date.
Investigations were supervised by ASP (Ag.) Victor, W/Insp. Sylvester, Sgts. Ramoutar and Radhaykissoon and Cpl Subiah, all of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region Two.
