A woman and man were shot and injured by a soldier during a fight in San Fernando on Sunday night.
Termika Phillip, 32 and Kareen Burton, 29, both of Princes Town were at the corner of Sutton and Gordon Street San Fernando when they got into a physical altercation with a 37-year-old Lance Corporal.
The soldier told police he became fearful for his life and drew his licensed firearm and fired two rounds at them. Burton was shot in the upper right leg while Phillip was shot in the upper right arm.
They were taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where they were treated and are in stable conditions.
Police seized a Glock firearm and a Firearm User License permit from the soldier.
Two 9mm spent shells were recovered at the scene.
