A man who was fix­ing a car in a garage in To­ba­go on Mon­day af­ter­noon was am­bushed and killed.

Po­lice said two gun­men–one armed with a high-pow­ered ri­fle and the oth­er armed with a re­volver– were seen flee­ing the scene.

The vic­tim, who was iden­ti­fied as Den­son Turn­er, was fix­ing a car in a garage in Les Coteaux when the gun­men walked up to him and both opened fire on him.

Turn­er died on the scene.

The two gun­men were seen calm­ly walk­ing away from the scene where they board­ed a ve­hi­cle and sped off.

Po­lice of­fi­cers were at the scene un­til late last night.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing.
