A 30-year-old man was found dead ly­ing on the road at East­ern Quar­ry in Laven­tille on Thurs­day evening. Po­lice be­lieve that the man iden­ti­fied as Kendell Nes­bit was beat­en to death.

Po­lice said at about 7.15 pm the Besson Street Po­lice as­sist­ed EHS per­son­nel re­gard­ing a re­port of As­sault By Beat­ing at Kerr Trace, East­ern Quar­ry, Laven­tille.
On ar­rival at the scene Nes­bitt of East­ern Quar­ry Street, Laven­tille was seen ly­ing mo­tion­less on the road. His body bore marks of vi­o­lence.

In­sp Sood­een, Ag In­sp Knott and Ag Sgt Matthew along with Homi­cide Re­gion 1 per­son­nel were in­formed and re­spond­ed. Dis­trict Med­ical Of­fi­cer Dr Ali sub­se­quent­ly vis­it­ed the scene and made the pro­nounce­ment and or­dered the re­moval of the body to the Foren­sic Sci­ence Cen­tre for an au­top­sy.
