Man charged for raping neighbour

A 20-year-old man has been or­dered to stay 300 me­tres away from his neigh­bour af­ter he al­leged­ly forced him in­to a room and raped him.

The man was grant­ed bail in the sum of $100,000 with a sure­ty, af­ter he ap­peared be­fore Ch­agua­nas Mag­is­trate In­di­ra Misir-Go­sine.

Ac­cord­ing to the po­lice on Mon­day, Ju­ly 1 2019, the vic­tim saw his neigh­bour stand­ing in his yard. The neigh­bour of­fered the man $100 and asked him to per­form a sex act on him.

The vic­tim re­fused and start­ed to walk off when ac­cord­ing to po­lice the 20-year-old neigh­bour held on­to the vic­tim’s hand and told him he was not al­lowed to leave. The vic­tim was held against his will in a locked room, where it was al­leged that the sex act oc­curred.

A cou­ple of days lat­er the vic­tim re­port­ed the in­ci­dent to the Bar­rack­pore Po­lice Sta­tion, and of­fi­cers of the South­ern Di­vi­sion Child Pro­tec­tion Unit were de­tailed to in­ves­ti­gate.

Ag/Cpl Di­a­mond, lat­er charged the 20- year old man with one count of sex­u­al pen­e­tra­tion and one count of false im­pris­on­ment.

The man is ex­pect­ed to ap­pear be­fore a Ch­agua­nas Mag­is­trate on March 29.

And in an un­re­lat­ed mat­ter, a 34-year-old man was or­dered to have no con­tact with his step­son af­ter ap­pear­ing be­fore a Ch­agua­nas Mag­is­trate yes­ter­day charged with one count of cru­el­ty to a child.

The ac­cused who re­sides in Ed­in­burgh 500, Ch­agua­nas, ap­peared be­fore Mag­is­trate Adri­an Dar­manie and was grant­ed $150,000 bail.

Ac­cord­ing to the 16-year-old boy, he was phys­i­cal­ly as­sault­ed by his step­fa­ther on sev­er­al oc­ca­sions.

Po­lice said in May 2019, the boy made a re­port to po­lice and of­fi­cers of the Cen­tral Di­vi­sion Child Pro­tec­tion Unit (CPU) ini­ti­at­ed an in­ves­ti­ga­tion which led to the ar­rest of the sus­pect on Tues­day.
