An uniden­ti­fied man was killed in what po­lice be­lieve was a hit-and-run along the Solomon Ho­choy High­way near Ch­agua­nas last night.

Po­lice re­port­ed that around 7:08 p.m., a group of peo­ple flagged down an am­bu­lance head­ing north near Bhag­wans­ingh’s Hard­ware. 

Emer­gency per­son­nel found a man ly­ing in the me­di­an with in­juries con­sis­tent with a hit-and-run.

He was tak­en to the Ch­agua­nas Health Fa­cil­i­ty and lat­er trans­ferred to the Mount Hope Hos­pi­tal, where he was pro­nounced dead at ap­prox­i­mate­ly 9:58 p.m.

Cpl Singh and PC Ben­jamin checked the area for cam­era footage but found none. 

Au­thor­i­ties are ask­ing any­one with in­for­ma­tion about the ac­ci­dent or the vic­tim’s iden­ti­ty to con­tact the po­lice.
