De­spite at­tempts to save him af­ter he got in­to dif­fi­cul­ties while swim­ming at Flower Pot beach, 57-year-old Collin Tra­b­u­lay died on Wednes­day.

Tra­b­u­lay, of Pointe-a-Pierre Road, had gone to the beach near Mara­bel­la with his rel­a­tives.

His 44-year-old cousin told po­lice that short­ly be­fore 1 pm, Tra­b­u­lay be­gan ex­pe­ri­enc­ing dif­fi­cul­ty in the wa­ter. He was brought back to shore where they at­tempt­ed to re­sus­ci­tate him.

Even­tu­al­ly, the EHS am­bu­lance ar­rived, and he was tak­en to the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal, but was pro­nounced dead by med­ical per­son­nel.

An au­top­sy was sched­uled at the San Fer­nan­do Mor­tu­ary.
