A 26-year-old man was discovered dead in his vehicle in Enterprise early yesterday, after police responded to reports of a car seen bearing bullet holes.

Robby Latchmansingh, a labourer from John Street, Enterprise, Chaguanas, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and slumped over the driver’s seat of his silver Nissan Tiida at the intersection of Egypt Trace Extension and Crown Trace.

Police said at 1.15 am, officers from the Central Division Task Force were patrolling the Chaguanas Police District when they received a report from the E999 Command Centre of a vehicle seen riddled with bullet holes at the corner of Rodney Road and Crown Trace.

The vehicle’s doors were locked, preventing officers from gaining immediate entry. Using a stone to break the front left window, the officers gained access to the car and found Latchmansingh’s body. He was slumped to his right side and had multiple gunshot injuries.

Crime Scene Investigators from the Homicide Bureau of Investigation Region 3 processed the scene and recovered several items, including five spent 9mm rounds marked “TTR 15,” 11 spent 9mm rounds marked “FC LUGER 9mm,” and 18 spent 5.56 rounds marked “TZZ 01.” Additionally, a black Glock magazine containing 14 live rounds and a black Apple cell phone were found at the scene. The vehicle was impounded and transported to the Chaguanas Police Station for further examination.
