The man found with his throat slit in Ste Madeleine on Tues­day has been iden­ti­fied as Amar Rooplal.

Po­lice said Rooplal of Roy Ave, Vista­bel­la, al­so had stab wounds on his back.

His body was dis­cov­ered around 4.40 am by se­cu­ri­ty of­fi­cers on pa­trol along the Cedar Es­tate Road.

Homi­cide Bu­reau Re­gion 3 in­ves­ti­ga­tors are con­duct­ing en­quiries in­to the cir­cum­stances sur­round­ing his mur­der.
