For the sec­ond straight day on Sat­ur­day, the po­lice were kept busy re­spond­ing to re­ports of a mur­der in Mor­vant. Of­fi­cers re­spond­ed to a shoot­ing along Mor­vant Old Road just af­ter 7 pm.

When po­lice ar­rived they found Do­minic Collins, 35, bleed­ing af­ter be­ing shot sev­er­al times.

He was tak­en to the Port-of-Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal but suc­cumbed to his in­juries.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors be­lieved that Collins was be­ing robbed by armed as­sailants who opened fire dur­ing the in­ci­dent.

On Fri­day night, Tevin Sem­per was shot dead while with a group of friends in the area.

Po­lice sus­pect his mur­der may have been a case of mis­tak­en iden­ti­ty.
