A 39-year-old Forestry Di­vi­sion work­er was gunned down in Champs Fleurs on Thurs­day af­ter­noon.

Po­lice said res­i­dents re­port­ed hear­ing gun­shots and the sound of a car speed­ing off around 2 pm on Hut­ton Street. They saw Michel Bousi­gard run­ning short­ly af­ter.

He was bleed­ing from gun­shot wounds. They took him to Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex where he was de­clared at 2.24 pm.

Po­lice from the St Joseph CID vis­it­ed the scene and found 13 spent 9 mm shells and a bul­let frag­ment.

Po­lice from the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions Re­gion II are con­tin­u­ing en­quiries.
