Man killed in Enterprise after breaking-up with girlfriend

A 24-year-old shop­keep­er was gunned down near his home in En­ter­prise, just af­ter mid­night on Sun­day.

Ac­cord­ing to a po­lice re­port, the de­ceased has been iden­ti­fied as Ja­son “Rosey” Ros­al.

Guardian Me­dia un­der­stands that at about 12:45 am on Mon­day (Feb­ru­ary 15th), gun­shots rang out at # 2 Mano Trace, Crown Trace in En­ter­prise, Ch­agua­nas.  Res­i­dents called the po­lice on hear­ing the gun­shots and of­fi­cers who ar­rived on the scene min­utes lat­er found Ros­al ly­ing on the ground some five feet away from his home.  He was al­ready dead.

Po­lice of­fi­cers re­cov­ered from the scene 11 spent shells cas­ings of 9mm cal­i­bre, two frag­ments and three pro­jec­tiles.

Ros­al’s rel­a­tive re­port­ed­ly told po­lice that at about 11:15 pm on Sun­day, Ros­al was at home when he had an ar­gu­ment with his 19-year-old girl­friend, who is from Carlsen Field, Ch­agua­nas.  Dur­ing the ar­gu­ment, Ros­al is said to have ac­cused her of be­ing un­faith­ful.  Ros­al then threw her cloth­ing out­side and told her to leave.  She was seen walk­ing out of the house with a garbage bag.

A short while af­ter­wards, while Ros­al’s moth­er was in­side her home, she re­port­ed­ly over­heard her son talk­ing to a man, fol­lowed by the sound of gun­shots.

Po­lice are yet to de­ter­mine a mo­tive for the killing.

Mean­while, in an un­re­lat­ed in­ci­dent, a 40-year-old shop­keep­er was at his shop at #21 Coun­cil­man Cir­cu­lar, Mal­ick, on Sun­day, when at about 1 pm, a gun­man opened fire on him while he was con­duct­ing sales.

The vic­tim told po­lice that he ran out of the shop and saw a man of African de­scent with a black ri­fle in his hand.  The gun­man re­port­ed­ly was dressed in a black long-sleeved t-shirt, a pair of black three-quar­ter pants, a pull over mask and a black Mar­vin Gaye hat.

The vic­tim added that the gun­man point­ed the firearm in his di­rec­tion and opened fire again; how­ev­er, he es­caped in­juries.

Po­lice of­fi­cers processed the scene and re­cov­ered eight 5.56 spent shells and one live round of 5.56 am­mu­ni­tion on the road­way at Coun­cil­man Cir­cu­lar.  They al­so found five spent 9mm shells at the west­ern side of the home of a neigh­bour. The neigh­bour’s home al­so bore bul­let holes, hav­ing sus­tained dam­age dur­ing the shoot­ing in­ci­dent.
