A 44-year-old man lost sight in his left eye dur­ing a phys­i­cal at­tack while at his home in Carlsen Field on Mon­day.

The vic­tim was in the gallery of his home at Pipecon Vil­lage when he was con­front­ed by a group of peo­ple, two of whom he knew.

A fight en­sued, dur­ing which one of the men struck the vic­tim in the left eye, caus­ing se­ri­ous in­juries.

The vic­tim was tak­en for med­ical treat­ment at the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex, but doc­tors’ ef­forts were un­suc­cess­ful and he re­mained with­out sight in his left eye.

Po­lice said ar­rests are im­mi­nent.
