A 21-year-old Arou­ca man was gunned down on Sat­ur­day night.

Po­lice re­port­ed that around 11:30 pm, they found the body of Demetri Padrat, of Thomas Trace, Arou­ca, at the side of the road near the Pri­or­i­ty Bus Route.

Po­lice said first re­spon­ders were on mo­bile pa­trol in the Arou­ca dis­trict when they re­ceived a re­port of gun­shots near Thomas Trace along the Pri­or­i­ty Bus Route.

Po­lice found 10 spent 9mm shells at the scene, along with one live 9mm round and a de­formed pro­jec­tile.
