A 25-year-old maxi taxi dri­ver is nurs­ing a gun­shot wound in the Port-of-Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal af­ter be­ing shot dur­ing an ar­gu­ment with an­oth­er dri­ver in City Gate last night.

Po­lice say around 8:45 pm the vic­tim and the sus­pect, a 42-year-old maxi taxi dri­ver, were ar­gu­ing about cut­ting the line. The vic­tim al­leged­ly pulled out a knife. The oth­er dri­ver told po­lice he be­came fear­ful for his safe­ty and pulled out his li­censed firearm and fired two shots at the vic­tim hit­ting him once about the body.

The vic­tim was tak­en to the hos­pi­tal by an­oth­er maxi taxi dri­ver.

The vic­tim's con­di­tion is un­known and so far, there's no word if the sus­pect was ar­rest­ed or charged.
