A man who was shot over 12 times while at Sama­roo Vil­lage in Ari­ma on Sun­day night, lat­er died at the Ari­ma Dis­trict Hos­pi­tal while un­der­go­ing treat­ment.

Ac­cord­ing to a po­lice re­port, at about 7.39 pm on Sun­day, Joel Fran­co was stand­ing on Church Street, Sama­roo Vil­lage when a lone gun­man ap­proached the him and shot him sev­er­al times about the body.

Fran­co was tak­en to the Ari­ma Dis­trict Hos­pi­tal where he suc­cumbed to his in­juries at about 9.45 pm.

Fran­co is said to be a res­i­dent of Uni­ty Vil­lage Ex­ten­sion Off Olton Trace in Ari­ma. He al­so has an­oth­er ad­dress list­ing: 25th Street, Beetham Gar­dens.

A mo­tive is yet to be es­tab­lished for his killing.
