Manhunt underway for four escaped prisoners

The Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice (TTPS) cur­rent­ly is search­ing for four in­mates who re­main on the run, af­ter es­cap­ing from the Gold­en Grove Prison, Arou­ca, on Sun­day night.

Of­fi­cial po­lice re­ports state that the es­capees are:

■   AN­THO­NY SEEP­ER­SAD, aka RA­JESH/RAKESH SAN­DOOKEE, 29, whose last known ad­dress is Pen­co Street, Ch­agua­nas. He had been charged with lar­ce­ny mo­tor ve­hi­cle.

■   KURIEN DOU­GLAS, 26, whose last known ad­dress is Wood­brook. He had been charged with the of­fences of rob­bery with vi­o­lence.

■   SHAQUILLE DRAY­TON aka JABARI WILLIAMS, 30, whose last known ad­dress­es are Bayshore, Mara­bel­la and Lo­gie Street, Siparia. He had been charged for the of­fence of as­sault.

■   THEON THOMAS, 24, whose last known ad­dress is Ramdeen Trace, Rock Road, Pe­nal. He had been charged with house break­ing and lar­ce­ny.

Re­ports in­di­cate that five men were dis­cov­ered miss­ing from Dor­mi­to­ry #4 of the prison around 10:30 pm, on Sun­day 20th March 2022. Checks re­vealed that BRC wire was cut and the gal­vanise in the roof of the dor­mi­to­ry had been raised.

Sev­er­al units re­spond­ed to the re­port, in­clud­ing the Air Sup­port Mo­bile, the North-Cen­tral Task Force, the North­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force and the North­ern Di­vi­sion Emer­gency Re­sponse Pa­trol.

Checks were made in sur­round­ing ar­eas which re­sult­ed in the re­cap­ture of one of the es­capees, KEVIN JAGDEO, in the Trinci­ty dis­trict. He was ar­rest­ed and is in po­lice cus­tody.

The hunt is on­go­ing for the oth­er four men.
