After being closed during the pandemic and for almost a year afterwards due to repairs, the Manzanilla Beach Facility is ready for visitors again.

The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts says there is now a new wastewater treatment plant, and a Children's Playpark, as well as an Information Booth.

The lifeguard headquarters and the restaurant building's roof also have been repaired, the Ministry reported in an official statement.

Minister Randall Mitchell toured the facility on Tuesday with Member of Parliament for Cumuto/Manzanilla, Dr Rai Ragbir.

The minister said he was happy to welcome visitors to the facility in time for the Easter vacation period.  He thanked the public for their patience and called on them to enjoy the space responsibly.
