A 23-year-old villager was fatally shot in Mayaro last evening. Tyrone Hutson, of Cooper Trace, Mafeking Village died at the scene.
Police responded to a report around 7 pm about loud explosions on Mafeking Road. When they got to scene, they found Hutson's body in blood on the pavement with gunshot wounds. A large crowd gathered at the scene.
Investigators recovered several nine mm casings at the scene. PC Rambhajan is investigating.
