Two men were beaten and robbed of a total of $27 while waiting for a maxi taxi in Curepe early on Wednesday morning.
Police said the men were standing at the intersection of the Priority Bus Route and the Southern Main Road, at around 2.30 am when they were confronted by four bandits.
The bandits beat one of the men causing him to fall.
They stole the man’s wallet which contained his national ID card, bank card and $16 cash.
The bandits also stole $11 cash from the second man before getting in a black car which was parked near the Unipet Gas Station and drove off.
St Joseph police were called in and are continuing enquiries.
