Miss Grand T&T representative Rebekah Hislop represented well but didn't make it all the way in the Miss Grand International competition that was held on Wednesday.
Miss Peru, Luciana Fuster was crowned Miss Grand International 2023.
The first runner up went to Miss Myanmar and 2nd runner up Miss Colombia.
The competition was held in Vietnam.
On Tuesday, Hislop posted on her Facebook page that she was "truly grateful to progress to Round 2 in the National Costume Competition" however she failed to secure a win because of lack of votes.
Hislop indicated that she was "extremely thankful for all the outpouring support. Again, I would appreciate your support in this round of voting as each vote counts!"
Meanwhile, at 11:46 am T&T local time, Mileidy Materano who was originally crowned Miss Grand T&T went live on her Instagram page to show that she was looking on at the competition which streamed live.
Materano also showed her full support to Miss Colombia and was openly vying for her to be crowned.
However when the announcement was made of Miss Colombia coming in as 2nd runner up, Materano was heard saying "Ay dios mío" which translated in English "Oh my God."
She, however, congratulated Miss Peru on her being crowned and expressed overwhelming joy.
Questions sent to Stolen Productions Limited's head of marketing and public relations Kerry Goberdhan went unanswered up to press time on Wednesday.
Six days prior to Hislop leaving for Vietnam on October 4, Materano announced that she was stepping down as crowned winner because of alleged sponsorship issues.
