The Hunters Search and Rescue Team, led by Captain Vallence Rambharat, has confirmed they have found the body of missing Mayaro toddler, Allon Ramdial.
The Team posted the update on their social media pages at about midday on Monday, December 12. The post read:

The search for the 3-year-old ended just before midday today.
After several days of searching, his body was found in a rocky area off Point Radix, Ortoire Village, Mayaro. Efforts are being made presently to recover the body, which is stuck between some rocks.
On the scene are Snr Supt Khan Supt Doodhai, Sgt Mohammed and police officers from Eastern Division.
On Sunday, Captain Vallence Rambharat, from the Hunters Search and Rescue team, told Guardian Media they had completed a search in the mouth of the Ortoire River and the sea without success. Eight members of Wes Maintenance Service Company, a private Mayaro-based company led by Westley Mohammed, joined the search teams on Sunday to lend their equipment and expertise.
Three-year-old Allon Ramdial was last seen on Friday 9 December 2022. He was reported missing by his 19-year-old mother Christianna Ramdial on that date.
Extensive searches over the weekend proved futile, and the search and rescue teams resumed their efforts this morning, focussing on combing the riverbank and the seashore.
Allon’s mother, Christianna Ramdial, had confided in an interview with Guardian Media yesterday that she had begun to lose hope of finding Allon alive.
