Mom of five gets bail for stealing $3,000 in snacks

Bail in the sum of $150,000 has been grant­ed to a woman who al­leged­ly stole $2,763 worth of snacks and bev­er­ages by trick.

In­dera Solomon, a moth­er of five, reap­peared vir­tu­al­ly be­fore San Fer­nan­do Se­nior Mag­is­trate In­drani Ce­de­no hav­ing been de­nied bail last week.

It is al­leged that she or­dered a num­ber of snacks and bev­er­ages from Ace’s Whole­sale and Re­tail Store in La Ro­maine and sent a text pur­port­ed­ly show­ing that she made the pay­ment to the busi­ness bank ac­count.

She col­lect­ed the items on Jan­u­ary 24.

How­ev­er, it is al­leged that no pay­ment was made to the ac­count.

PC Mor­ris charged Solomon on Oc­to­ber 12 with lar­ce­ny trick. Pros­e­cu­tor Cley­on Seedan had ini­tial­ly ob­ject­ed to bail.

How­ev­er, Solomon’s at­tor­ney Ja­son Jack­son made an ap­pli­ca­tion for bail.

The mat­ter was ad­journed to No­vem­ber 4.
