Charles chocolate workers robbed at knife-point
A driver and loader of Charles Chocolate were robbed of $8000 by a bandit in Aranguez on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the men were in a truck which was parked on the Aranguez Branch Road, around 2.30 pm when a masked knife-wielding bandit walked up to the vehicle and tried to open the driver’s side door.
On realising this door was locked he ran to the other door and pressed the knife against the neck of one of the workers.
The bandit then snatched a lunch bag, which contained $5000 representing the sales and $3000 payable to the company, before running away.
Officers of the Barataria CID are continuing enquiries.
