Three men were expected to appear before a Master of the High Court yesterday, charged with firearm-related offences.

The TTPS, in a statement, said Jabari Clarke, Jaheim McSween and Giovanni Mauge, of Morvant, were all charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition, while Mauge faced an additional charge of possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

The trio was charged on Sunday, following their arrest last Thursday, when they were found in possession of one Taurus pistol, 14 rounds of ammunition and a stolen vehicle. Meanwhile, a 33-year-old female Dominican Republic national was arrested for possession of a firearm and ammunition.

She was arrested during an intelligence-led operation conducted in the Central Division between 8 pm and 11 pm, on Sunday.

Officers of the Gang Unit and Arima Intelligence and Operations Team proceeded to the Cunupia, where they searched a house.

Police said a female suspect, who was there with a baby at the time, allegedly displayed suspicious behaviour and attempted to hide an object under a crib mattress. Police said it was an AR-15 rifle, loaded with a magazine containing 100 rounds of 5.56 ammunition. The woman was arrested in connection with the find.

And, one firearm and a quantity of ammunition were found by officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force during an operation conducted in the North Central Division between 11 am and 5 pm, on Sunday.

Officers were on mobile patrol in the Piarco district, when they stopped and searched an area where two men were seen earlier. The search resulted in one Beretta pistol, loaded with four rounds of ammunition, being found.

During my consultation with Ms Brafit CEO Nicole Joseph-Chin, what was supposed to be a simple mastectomy bra fitting became something much deeper. Her thoughtful questions unlocked emotions I didn’t even realise I was holding in. She comforted, reassured, and helped me face the truth of what was coming. That bra wasn’t just clothing—it was the first real symbol of life after surgery.
