A mother and her one-year-old daughter have been murdered in a shooting incident in Indian Walk, Moruga, in which the child's father was also shot.
Police have found a blue Toyota Aqua vehicle abandoned at Crawford Street in Ste Madeleine, which was suspected to have been used by the killers.
Police say that around 7:50 pm Monday one-year-old Nova Bereton, her father Akiel Bereton and her mother Sashell Elliot, 30,were at a parlour located at No. 2 Fort George when a vehicle pulled up and a man armed with a rifle opened fire injuring all three victims.
They were taken to the Princes Town Health Facility where the mother and daughter later died.
The father is warded at hospital.
