The Bayshore Multi-Purpose Life Skills Centre has officially opened to serve the community known locally as ‘the line’ in Marabella.
In a statement, the Digicel Foundation says the Centre was established to ensure that residents of Bayshore can easily access online services and training in vocational skills, setting them up for viable employment opportunities and future success.
"The Bayshore Multi-Purpose Life Skills Centre is the first and only facility of its kind in the area. Renovated on the site of a space owned by a branch of the Open Bible Church, the Centre boasts a fully-equipped computer room with free high speed internet courtesy Digicel Plus.
It also currently offers computer training for all ages, homework assistance, sewing classes, and floral arrangement classes, with plans underway to add more training opportunities to the schedule soon." the Digicel Foundation said.
