Regional Carnival is getting more money. The news was revealed by NCC Coordinator Fredrick Harris when he spoke on Saturday at the 2024 Prize Giving Ceremony for the Chaguanas Borough Carnival Committee (CBCC).
Harris said he was impressed with celebrations in Chaguanas. He said 2024 was his first year working and experiencing Carnival in Central “ I attended 3 meetings with the committee and I was also at the launch by the (Chaguanas) Market. That was an experience, I enjoyed every moment.” Harris said Chaguanas celebrations on Carnival Tuesday was impressive
“I enjoyed the afternoon, for 2025 the NCC is putting out more money for local participation. The local people, we want to encourage the carnival in every community.”
Harris offered his deepest thanks to the Chaguanas Borough Carnival Committee for making the event a success “ Culture is more valuable than oil and gas, keep working.”
