Po­lice are yet to ar­rest the per­son who robbed and killed a San Fer­nan­do pen­sion­er at his home on Fri­day.

Kelvin Chan, be­lieved to be in his late 60s, was found dead by his broth­er Louis Chan around 1.25 pm on Fri­day.

Po­lice said Louis and his care­tak­er De­vanand Ma­haraj, 64, left home to go to Sco­tia Bank at Cipero Street, San Fer­nan­do, which is walk­ing dis­tance from Chan's home.

When they re­turned they found Chan ly­ing on the ground cov­ered with a flo­ral bed sheet and gal­va­nize. He was wear­ing a cream brown and red stripe T-shirt, blue box­ers, long blue jeans, and a black mask over his nose and mouth. A pair of black and white puma slip­pers were ly­ing near­by.

Po­lice said there was a wound to Chan's head. 

The body bore an ap­par­ent wound to the fore­head. Po­lice be­lieve that Chan was robbed and then killed. he lived up­stairs while Louis, who suf­fers from Alzheimer’s dis­ease, lives down­stairs

 Ag Supt Dhill­paul, In­sp Phillip and Lewis as well as Sgt Elvin, Cpl Bridge­mo­han and PC Siew­dath vis­it­ed the scene and are con­tin­u­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions.
