It’s Budget Day and every year like clockwork, motorists flood gas stations, in anticipation of an increase in fuel prices.
However, it seems as though that rush has not yet started.
Guardian Media’s photographic team visited several gas stations in South and North Trinidad around 1 pm, ahead of the 2021/2022 fiscal package being laid in Parliament by Finance Minister Colm Imbert.
At several gas stations, there were only a few vehicles, while some were empty.
Parliament convened at 1.30 pm today, with the Finance Minister beginning his Budget Presentation after Members of the House remembered their late colleague, former La Brea MP, Fitzgerald Jeffrey.
