Omega Ad­vanced School for In­ter­dis­ci­pli­nary Stud­ies (Oa­sis) In­sti­tute of High­er Learn­ing, for­mer­ly Oa­sis Uni­ver­si­ty lo­cat­ed at Ana­pau­sis, Up­per Mo­hammed Street, Curepe re­cent­ly held its an­nu­al grad­u­a­tion cer­e­mo­ny. Oa­sis is a non-prof­it, non-sec­tar­i­an, post-grad­u­ate in­sti­tute of high­er earn­ing with the pas­sion to build a com­mu­ni­ty of life­long schol­ars com­mit­ted to pos­i­tive so­cial change. Oa­sis of­fers three Mas­ters' De­gree pro­grammes, con­ve­nient­ly timed to fa­cil­i­tate work­ing adults. The cer­e­mo­ny was one of pomp, glam­our and glit­ter as each grad­u­ate re­ceived their cer­tifi­cate from Chan­cel­lor Dr Hol­lis L Green ThD, PhD.

Al­so in at­ten­dance were the Chair­man of Oa­sis, Dr Subesh Ram­jat­tan who was con­ferred with an hon­orary doc­tor­ate at the func­tion, Vice Chan­cel­lor and CEO, Dr Paratan Bal­loo, Dphil, Dr Den­ni­son Bho­la of the Uni­ver­si­ty of Ne­bras­ka, Dr Clare­na Spencer, Aca­d­e­m­ic Dean/ Reg­is­trar and Dr Steve Mo­hammed, Chief Aca­d­e­m­ic Of­fi­cer. De­liv­er­ing the fea­ture ad­dress was Mrs Tere­sa David­son, Di­rec­tor of Fund­ing and Grants Ad­min­is­tra­tion Di­vi­sion at the Min­istry of Sci­ence, Tech­nol­o­gy & Ter­tiary Ed­u­ca­tion.
