A 45-year-old vendor was shot and killed while conducting sales at his St Augustine fruit stall on Saturday night.
Police said Darryl Bridgelal was at the stall on the Eastern Main Road, near the Bamba Night Club at around 11.38 pm, when a silver car drove near him.
Two gunmen got out of the car and shot him several times.
Bridgelal ran away but collapsed nearby as his killers got back in the car and drove off.
A passerby took Bridgelal to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where he was declared dead minutes later at around 11.57 pm.
Northern Division crime scene investigators visited the scene and found 23 spent 5.56 shells and ten spent 9 milli-metre shells.
Police from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region II are continuing inquiries.
