Over 30,000 people have applied to the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) to be poll day staff for the Local Government Elections.
The EBC had put out an advertisement asking for interested people to apply for the positions of presiding officer, deputy presiding officer, poll clerk, and information officer.
Guardian Media reached out to the EBC and was told about the thousands of applications via its online portal.
The deadline for applications is June 4.
