Pan Trinbago is congratulating Joshua Regrello for seeking to set two Guinness World Records: the Longest Marathon Playing Steelpan and the Longest Marathon Playing a Chrome Musical Instrument of Trinidad and Tobago.

In a statement, Pan Trinbago President Beverly Ramsey Moore said:

“Joshua’s passion, resilience, and unyielding determination are an inspiration to all. This is not just a win for Joshua but a triumph for our culture, our heritage, and our global Steelpan family.”

The organisation added that Regrello's achievement highlights the global significance of the Steelpan.

“In this transformational year for the Steelpan, his achievement solidifies our instrument’s status as a beacon of creativity and excellence,” said Ramsey-Moore.

Pan Trinbago also commended Regrello on behalf of its Central and Regional Executives, staff, and the entire Steelpan community. His accomplishment, they said, brings attention to the Steelpan and to Trinidad and Tobago as the Mecca of Steelpan.

The organisation called it a win on many levels.

"This is a win for Joshua Regrello. A win for our culture. A win for our national treasure—the Steelpan. And a win for Trinidad and Tobago, the Mecca of Steelpan, and by extension, the Global Steelpan community."
