Participants were drenched in vibrant colours and laughter as the Pandavas Group hosted Phagwa celebrations at Palmiste Park, San Fernando yesterday.
Celebrating the auspicious occasion also called Holi — which symbolises unity, renewal and the triumph of good over evil — people arrived with barrels and kegs filled with abeer, armed with spray guns and powdered dyes.
Families, friends and strangers alike joined the joyous celebration, dancing, laughing and freely splashing colour on each other as music and live entertainment filled the park.
Phagwa festivities were also held in several communities across South Trinidad, including Barrackpore and Penal.
