A 25-year-old PH dri­ver of Barataria will ap­pear be­fore a Port-of-Spain Mag­is­trate to­day, charged with sex­u­al touch­ing of a mi­nor.

Ac­cord­ing to an of­fi­cial Po­lice Ser­vice re­lease, the charge arose out of an in­ci­dent in­volv­ing the girl, who was trav­el­ling in a ve­hi­cle with the sus­pect.

The vic­tim re­port­ed to po­lice that the man drove her to a dead end in the vicin­i­ty of Queen Av­enue, Barataria, where he al­leged­ly lift­ed up her dress, pulled out his pe­nis and rubbed it against her leg.

The sus­pect was ar­rest­ed and charged on Sat­ur­day 28 No­vem­ber 2020, by PC Cas­tle of the North-East­ern Di­vi­sion Child Pro­tec­tion Unit (CPU).

The PH dri­ver will an­swer to the charge when the mat­ter comes up for hear­ing at the Port-of-Spain Mag­is­trates’ Court to­day, Mon­day 30 No­vem­ber 2020.
