PH driver Ishiyaho Eshban Williams, 34, of Bagatelle Road, San Juan, was shot multiple times by gunmen who pursued his car and forced him to exit the vehicle in a bid to escape.
Officers of the North Eastern Divisional Task Force were on mobile patrol when they were informed that gunshots had been heard at Hyde Road, North San Juan.
Upon checking, they found the deceased alive, but bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds to the head, chest and abdomen.
They rushed him to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt Hope, where he succumbed to injuries.
Crime Scene Investigators attached to the Special Evidence Recovery Unit (SERU) processed the scene and recovered 15 spent 9 mm shells, one spent 9 mm shell, and one live 9 mm round.
Williams was reportedly driving his black Nissan Note along Hyde Road when he was pursued by the occupants of a silver Nissan AD Wagon.
Upon reaching a dead-end at Hyde Road, Williams exited his vehicle and began to run. He was pursued by gunmen who began shooting at him.
It was reported that as he fell to the ground, the gunmen walked up and stood over him, firing repeatedly.
The assailants later re-entered their waiting car and escaped.
