The Water and Sewerage Authority is advising of the shutdown of the North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant on Thursday 1st December 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to facilitate the cleaning of the Raw Water Intake and Sedimentation Basin, which have become clogged by debris brought on by adverse weather conditions.

The Water and Sewerage Authority, (the Authority), advises that there will be a planned shutdown of the North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant, on Thursday 1st December 2022, from 8:00 a.m. for a period of ten (10) hours.
This has become necessary to facilitate the cleaning of the Raw Water Intake and Sedimentation Basin, which have become clogged by debris brought on by adverse weather conditions.

Customers are further advised that upon completion of these works, it may take up to 24 hours for the supply to normalize to some affected areas in accordance with established supply schedules. A limited truck-borne service will be available upon request.
This can be requested through the following self-service options:
• Use of the mobile WASA Services App which can be downloaded for Android mobile customers from the Play Store or iPhone mobile customers from the Apple store.
• Use of the Customer Portal available on the Authority’s website: www.wasa.gov.tt.
