The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty is ad­vis­ing of the shut­down of the North Oropouche Wa­ter Treat­ment Plant on Thurs­day 1st De­cem­ber 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to fa­cil­i­tate the clean­ing of the Raw Wa­ter In­take and Sed­i­men­ta­tion Basin, which have be­come clogged by de­bris brought on by ad­verse weath­er con­di­tions.

The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty, (the Au­thor­i­ty), ad­vis­es that there will be a planned shut­down of the North Oropouche Wa­ter Treat­ment Plant, on Thurs­day 1st De­cem­ber 2022, from 8:00 a.m. for a pe­ri­od of ten (10) hours.  

This has be­come nec­es­sary to fa­cil­i­tate the clean­ing of the Raw Wa­ter In­take and Sed­i­men­ta­tion Basin, which have be­come clogged by de­bris brought on by ad­verse weath­er con­di­tions.  

Ar­eas af­fect­ed in­clude: 

Cus­tomers are fur­ther ad­vised that up­on com­ple­tion of these works, it may take up to 24 hours for the sup­ply to nor­mal­ize to some af­fect­ed ar­eas in ac­cor­dance with es­tab­lished sup­ply sched­ules. A lim­it­ed truck-borne ser­vice will be avail­able up­on re­quest.  

This can be re­quest­ed through the fol­low­ing self-ser­vice op­tions:  

• Use of the mo­bile WASA Ser­vices App which can be down­loaded for An­droid mo­bile cus­tomers from the Play Store or iPhone mo­bile cus­tomers from the Ap­ple store.  

• Use of the Cus­tomer Por­tal avail­able on the Au­thor­i­ty’s web­site: www.wasa.gov.tt.
