Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has confirmed that he did tell businessman and Breaking Barriers host, Inshan Ishmael to "kiss my ar**" in an email exchange between the two on September 23 but called on Ishmael to "provide context".
Ishmael, on his show last night, produced a redacted email from the Prime Minister with only the first and last two lines visible.
It began with "Inshan Ismael, you kiss my ar**!" and ended with "...life or business so you GO TO HELL!!!. You are overdoing it now".
It was signed "Kr".
"Why is he blurring out part of it? It has to be in context," Rowley said when asked about the email last night.
According to the email conversation between the two Ismael accused the Prime Minister of favouring a business with foreign exchange access.
"What is interesting is that we were informed that a former Directir (sic) of FCB was given the greenlight by the Minister of Finance to get unlimited forex. This company run by (man named) and his son (named) imports millions worth in USD of vehicles every month while most of us sucking salt," Ishmael said.
Ishmael said that the businessman was once the CEO of a State agency.
"Ministers and Government officials have bought vehicles from this company. Did they do their due diligence checks?" he asked.
It was then that Rowley responded.
"How dare you attempt to associate my name in your slander and conspiracy foolishness? So because Mr (person named) was the CEO of the LSA, that gives you the right and licence to link me to him in some wrongdoing with his business?"
He added: "For your peace of mind, I barely know the man and certainly know nobody in his family and have absolutely nothing to do with ANY aspect of his life or business so you GO TO HELL!!! You are overdoing it now."
Ishmael then responded: "I am overdoing it? Kiss your ar**? That is difficult as I would not be able to tell the difference between that and your head! (You asked for dat). And you expect respect? You are the one that have a say with every state board, so don't come with this sh** that you do not know the man, he was on FCB's Board as well so come again.
This week I shut down my company after 23 years...Over 1 million USD in vehicles being imported a month when most cannot even get $5,000 stinking dollars and no one bats an eye???"
He continued: "Imagine the TTPS fleet is only 40% operational but allyuh want to spend 14 Million on a panyard? The Tobago terminal is a structure with just glass and Pillars according to a well known architect who put the cost at around 350 Million excluding land acquisition but we are happy to pay Over 1 Billion...Tens of thousands suffering, mothers and childrens crying from the pangs of hunger and you and your family riding high..On a recent Poll, 89% rated you are the worst Prime Minister ever.. Imagine George Chambers and ANR Robinson rated better???? Live it up, enjoy life, but just remember we will all end up like Franklin Khan, megalomaniac or not!"
